Even though we weren't able to collectively honor our military at the fair this year, we still feel that there is a great need to continue supporting our veterans, especially during the ongoing pandemic.
In past years, we have donated items at our summer rehearsals, and they were delivered to the VA Hospital Outreach program in Des Moines.
This year, MTC reached out to our particpants and donors and asked them to consider making a monetary donation to our Military Tribute Concert organization to support two local Veterans outreach programs. MTC would match the funds and then ALL proceeds were given to the the VA Homeless Outreach program and the Des Moines Homeless Shelter. We are proud to announce that between partipant and MTC donations we were able to give $2500 to each organization.
We are hopeful that we will be able to get together in 2021, at the Iowa State Fair, to pay tribute to our Veterans. Thank you for your continued support.
