We are happy to announce that we will again perform at the Iowa State Fair this year. This will be our 10th season there! The concert will be on Monday, August 14, at 4:30 p.m. on the Anne and Bill Riley Stage. We plan to again assemble a children’s choir, an adult choir, and an orchestra to lead the audience in honoring all of our Veterans. Please join us!
We are currently taking registrations for you to sign up and participate in this event. All rehearsals will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (8301 Aurora Avenue in Urbandale, IA).
The rehearsal dates are as follows:
- Optional rehearsals: Wednesdays - July 19th, July 26th, August 2nd and August 9th from . 6 – 7:30 p.m.
- Final rehearsal: Sunday, August 13th, 2 – 5 p.m with a Dress Rehearsal from 5-6 p.m. in the sanctuary at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
- Concert on Monday, August 14th at 4:30 p.m. at the Iowa State Fair (arrive by 3:00 pm).
If you don’t sing or play an instrument, we still need help with many other items, including equipment set-up, photography, flag set-up, and others. Check out our registration form for more ways that you can participate.
